Skeuophylakion
The treasury — the room where the liturgical vessels and sacred objects are kept.
The skeuophylakion (from skeuos, vessel, and phylassein, to guard) is the treasury or sacristy where the liturgical vessels, vestments, and sacred objects of a church are kept. In the great cathedrals of Byzantium, the skeuophylakion was a separate building adjacent to the church. At Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, the skeuophylakion contained some of the most important relics of Christendom. In parish churches today, the diakonikon functions as the skeuophylakion.
