Sabellianism
Modalism — the heresy that Father, Son, and Spirit are three modes of one divine Person; the opposite error to Arianism.
Sabellianism (from Sabellius, 3rd c.) is the Trinitarian heresy that Father, Son, and Spirit are not three distinct Persons but three modes of one Person. Also called Modalism or Patripassianism. The opposite error to Arianism: Arianism divides the Persons by denying the Son's divinity; Sabellianism merges the Persons by denying their real distinction.
