Procession
A liturgical movement of clergy and people — an enacted prayer through sacred space; movement as worship.
Liturgical processions are a fundamental form of Orthodox worship: the movement of clergy and people through sacred space as an act of prayer. Major processions include: the Small and Great Entrances of the Divine Liturgy, the Palm Sunday procession, the Paschal procession at midnight, the procession of the cross at Theophany, and the carrying of relics on feast days. Movement in liturgical procession is itself a prayer.
