Myrophores
The Myrrh-bearing Women — those who came to anoint Christ's body and were the first witnesses of the Resurrection.
The Myrophores (Myrrh-bearers) are the women who came to the tomb of Christ with spices to anoint his body (Mark 16:1, Luke 24:1) and who were the first witnesses of the Resurrection. The Orthodox Church celebrates a feast in their honor — the Third Sunday of Pascha (Sunday of the Myrrh-bearers). In Orthodox theology, the Myrophores hold a position of particular honor: they remained faithful when the disciples fled, and they were deemed worthy of being the first to hear 'He is risen!' The Apostle to the Apostles, St. Mary Magdalene, is their representative.
