Antidoron
Blessed bread distributed after the Divine Liturgy — 'instead of the gift,' for those who did not receive communion.
Antidoron (anti-doron = instead of the gift) is leavened bread blessed but not consecrated at the Divine Liturgy, distributed to the faithful after the service. Those who did not receive Holy Communion receive the antidoron as a lesser participation in the sacred meal. It is a sign of ecclesial unity — even the non-communicating faithful leave with something blessed from the altar.
